ACIL Keys & Codes in the reality

I've been taking the class of "A Course In Light" for years. One level led to another, I was in 7th planetary level, which I had never expected that I could reach.

The main topic of planetary 7 is keys and codes, which will be imprinted in our soul and will be activated one day when the time is right.

I love symbols, especially those with metaphor in it, and I always love to visualize things in my mind. So...why not make these "keys & codes" images into reality? That way I don't have to imagine what they are like anymore.

That's how the idea was born.

The idea was easy, but the process wasn't. I spent a weekend to picture the concept of each image and it's basic materials. However, it's not that simple to turn concepts into reality.

Some of the keys & codes are plain to design, like LOTUS and EYE; I can almost see how they are like the moment I decided how to make them.

But this was not the case for FACES and FLAME; true, I had a rough idea how to present them, but the output is just not what I expect. To make human face by origami is usual, but to make human profile by origami is insane. I tried many times to fold the eye, the nose, the mouth, but it end up with a mess, just lots of folding lines mixing together. And the FLAME is even harder, I mean...how to you make insubstantial flame out of a piece of tangible paper?

Of course, I figured them all out in the end, and hence accomplish the twelve pieces of work.

LOTUS was the first (for sure, since I fancy lotus), and CORNUCOPIA was the last (because I had to make the fruits from paper clay and color them), so you can also say it's from oneness (the meaning of LOTUS) to fruition (the meaning of CORNUCOPIA).

The twelve symbols are related to 12 chakras represented by 12 colors of light, also the main color of each work.

Here I array the "keys & codes in reality" by the bodies they correspond to; from top to bottom: Rational Body, Emotional/Perceptional Body, and Physical Body (the bottom 2 arrays).

Let's put an end to my study in ACIL planetary 7.

Christmans tree in 2010

Album link: 2010 X'Mas

Christmas season has always been my favorite holiday. Indeed, I'm not a Christian, and don't know much about the origin of the Christmas, but I just love it's atmosphere soooo much. When I was a child, I loved to watch those Christmas movies, talking about love, joy, gratitude, belief, and the warm feeling; it's just like Christmas season is the best thing in the world.

And that's why I decided to share the joy and my love for Christmas to my friends few years ago. For years, I'd made various of Christmas gifts for my team members, classmates from the Course of Light.

And this year...due to the big change of my life...I decided to pick few people from different parts of my life who I want to thank the most to be the lucky ones.

The picture on the top is the full presentation of my gift this year, but it's also the composition of 8 gift cards. Each card has a X'mas ornament magnet attached, and it's also a part of the Christmas tree. The receivers of the cards made different influences on me, which make the whole me today, and that's the concept I want to present -- One is All, All is One.

The cards had been mailed two days ago, and I wish all of them can arrive to the receiver successfully.

Oh...almost forgot...it's my first Christmas in the new company, and to add more joy and warmth to my work place, I also made one tiny Christmas tree putting on my desk...so it can remind me that it's Christmas season, and everything will have a happy ending~~

Merry Christmas to all~~

Family Time-Album

Album link: Family Album

Two years ago, I found several of my headshots when cleanig out old stuffs. Those were my graduation photos since I were in a kindergarden. The photos were so memorizable, so I put them in my schedule note and carried with me.

This year, I found my father's headshots when gathering his stuff after he past away, and again, I carried them with me every day in my bag.

For me, these photos are just like the snapshots of each stage of our lives; you started to remember your life, your friends, things aroud you at that time when you look at the the photos.

For a long time, these photos are just hidden memories which were picked up when I sometimes glanced at them. However I'm not the kind to hide my past behind; I love to present it instead...so...here comes the idea of the "time album" for my family, which consists of the headshots of my beloved family.

For each family member, I picked a kind of plant as the symbol. Me, of course, is the lotus since my name is "蓮"; my yonger brother's name "和", also can be written as "禾", that means the standing grain. "蘭" was my mom's nick name, and so orchid is her symbol. The symbol of my father is a tree, since a father is always like a tree, watching over the whole family, and also his name is "中", just like a tree standing in the middle of the ground. Last but not least, my elder brother has the name "行", don't you think the shape of this word is similar to cacti?

Everyone has his/her own cardboard, and the photos are attached to the unfoldable sheet, so you can display it as timeline style.

These works have special meaning to me, not only because they are valuable family albums, but also because they were the dedication to my father's death half-anniversity.

I love you, dad!!
